VLOG // Rent or Buy & A Helios Lens

In this vlog I cover the pros and cons of buying and renting equipment. This isn't a definitive answer to this question, but hopefully it'll help shed some light on this for some of you! I know i wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for renting. It's definitely helped me hone in on my skills. I recommend everyone rent something one day just so they can get experience with new equipment. Watch the video below for more, though!

I also talk about the Helios 44-2 58mm f/2 lens!

Gabriel Brown

Lately I've really been getting into film photography. I've always been intrigued by it, but never really used it professionally. Well now I'm kind of mad I never did.

Gabriel Brown is an amazing singer/songwriter. I got to know him while shooting these and hanging out in studio while he recorded. He's the real deal. With an awesome pop sound, he's sure to make it big.

Also, this was my first train ride. So that was exciting :)

Check out his new single below, titled 'Wrong.' Also on Spotify and iTunes.

Shot with the Canon AE-1 Program. The last 2 were shot with a 5D Markii. It's like Christmas morning when I finally receive the developed product!

Hackintosh Build...Or not

Hey guys! So for my first blog post on MegabyteFilms, I thought I'd do something a little different. So for the past month I've struggled with building my own editing computer. A Hackintosh, to be exact. If you don't know what that is, it's a Mac computer made out of PC parts. But before I go any further, watch the entertaining vlog about it below!

Thanks for coming to the new Megabyte website. Here, we will post things such as behind the scenes videos, vlog posts, and anything Megabyte related.
